Here at The Healing Room Wellness Spa your Health & Safety is our #1 concern. Therefore, when booking for Pedicures or Manicures for the first time, you are required to purchase a Nail Care Package. They are sanitized & left at the Spa for your use only. If you are just visiting the area or would prefer to take them home you may. All other implements are stainless steel and will be sterilized after each use.

The Manicure Nail Care package consists of a nail file, buffer block & Nail brush. $3.00 per package.

The Pedicure Nail Care Package consists of a foot file, nail file, buffer block & Nail brush. $10.00 per package.

Mini Manicure $17.00

 Do you not have the time to get a full manicure or just do not need a full one? Then a mini manicure is perfect!  We will trim, file, buff and polish your nails then away you go! 

Meticulous Manicure $23.00

The hands are soaked in a specialized sanitizing soak then the nails are trimmed and filed to the desired length and shape.  A cuticle removal treatment is applied and cuticles are then pushed back (trimmed only if necessary) and nails are buffed to remove any ridges. Cuticle Revitalizer Complex Oil is applied and massaged in to nourish, moisturize and protect the cuticles and promote the growth of the natural nail. Hands and arms are massaged. Nails are then cleaned of any lotions and polish if applied is desired.

Masterful Manicure $33.00

Starting off with a gentle hand exfoliation to lift dead cells from the skin’s surface to give it a healthy and radiant appearance. The hands are soaked after the scrub to allow the oils of the scrub continue to work within the skin.  The nails are trimmed to the desired length and shape.  A cuticle removal treatment is applied and cuticle are then pushed back and trimmed only if necessary.  The nails are then buffed to promote the growth of the natural nail.  Hands and arms are massaged with the perfect amount of pressure to relax you. Your hands are then placed into bags of paraffin and left on for approximatley 10 minutes to help soothe dry skin, aching muscles and joints.  After the paraffin is removed the nails are cleaned of any lotions and polish is applied if desired.

We do suggest that you take your bags of paraffin home wth you to re-use on yourself.  Your Esthetician will explain how to reheat it.  We do not re-use the paraffin nor do we have you place your hand into the paraffin pot as those practices are unsanitary.

Paraffin wax has a very high heat capacity, meaning it is able to absorb and retain a great amount of heat. A paraffin wax spa takes advantage of paraffin's heat-retaining capacity in a simple process called heat transfer. In technical terms, heat is transferred to the core of the affected area as paraffin goes through a phase change. As it melts, the paraffin becomes a liquid and is able to retain more heat. Then, when a hand, foot, or other area is placed into  bag of paraffin or wrap in paraffin, the phase of the paraffin that surrounds the covered area quickly changes into a solid. The heat that is given off is called the heat of fusion.

More simply, the heat that goes into melting the paraffin comes out when it solidifies into a comforting paraffin coating, thus transferring the heat into the affected limb. Another way to look at it is the paraffin is the medium that transfers heat from the Therabath to the painful area.

At the same time, the heat from the paraffin opens pores and increases circulation in the skin. This is why paraffin is so beneficial to skin, leaving skin softened and more radiant.A luxurious treatment for the hands, we start off with a soothing massage of the hands and arms with moisturizing lotion.The hands are then placed into special bads with paraffin inside of them to soothe the skin and release calming scents throughout the room.
